Well, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised I use the unit primarily as a studio reverb and now I run everything from pianos, guitars. The unit is very user friendly and is working as expected so far.The support from Sweetwater was excellent, I will certainly be a repeat customer.
Youve got to be willing to spend a little time in the manual to extract the real potential from this beast but sonically it can reward you with world class DSP results worth 10x the price. In use my Vitualizer is in a rack with a Kemper rack, a Lexicon PCM 92 along with several other Lexicon DSP boxes AND multiple Eventide H9 Max. Im a big fan of the Eventide Black Hole reverb and have created my own Blackhole simulation on the Behringer that is even better. The Virtualizer has an incredible midi implementation too, enough to make your head spin and challenge my Ground Control Pro. As usual on Behringer rack mount, there are both XLR and 14 balanced inputsoutputs. Did you notice the price Its insanely low but close your eyes and the sound from this thing is up there with the best of the best. Its your call. Even if you have a lot of cash one of these makes a really nice effect processor. I didnt expect it to do much, but it has a surround processor effect that does a surprisingly good job of making stereo effects like chorus and tremolo sound bigger and better. So.when I saw how low the price is for the Virtualizer, I figured itd be an easy upgrade. This is another home run for Behringer.a perfect example of how they often give you a LOT for your money. ![]() Five or ten years ago a unit of this quality would have had a MUCH higher price. Most of the effects sound better and are easier to edit than the effects in my Line 6 POD 500x. Behringer Virtualizer 3D Fx2000 Review How To Use ItUnlike some units, you dont have to have an engineering degree to figure out how to use it. Behringer Virtualizer 3D Fx2000 Review Plus An EffectGotta love having 4 knobs to edit with, plus an effect mix knob. I installed this unit in a sound rack connected to an older Allen Digital Organ (1978). This is the first unit that I have found which perfectly reproduces the reed stops (such as trumpet, oboe and schalmi). I believe it is because this unit keeps the harmonics of the stops in proper phasing which restores the brilliance in the original samples in the Allen. ![]() The sound was on par with the celeste that Allen creates on its larger organs using 2 ranks (sets) of tone generators. Everything that I have that is built by Beringer has been of excellent quality for the price and has been most reliable. I was able to use this in my aux send and aux return and use my TC Helicon Voice Works as a Sub1 send. ![]()
